NCBA manages, owns or has developed eight residential properties totaling more than 500 assisted-living units in Washington, D.C.; Silver Spring, Maryland; Hernando, Mayersville, Marks and Jackson, Mississippi; and Reidsville, North Carolina. Three of the properties are currently managed by NCBA HMC as authorized by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Section 202 Program, which provides housing specifically for low-income senior citizens. 

In addition, Samuel J. Simmons NCBA Estates in Washington, D.C., is managed under the auspices of  the Internal Revenue Code Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program.  University Gardens II in Silver Spring, Maryland is a HUD 202 Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC) property.

In collaboration with several partners, NCBA HMC commenced reconstruction of the 10-story Samuel J. Simmons NCBA Estates structure in 2011. The multi-million-dollar renovation was completed in 2012.  Similarly, NCBA HMC completed a two-phase renovation of the four-story University Gardens II in Silver Spring, Maryland in 2013.
